That sounds fine if that's what you want. You could maybe get a tv tuner or sound card. I will suggest what wiz always does since he won't probably read this, go out, party, have fun, get laid.

nope not at all.

I'd go with either Vista or a sweet sound card. or a good stereo if you dont have one. I use a sony 5.1 dolby receiver that I picked up at best buy for about $200 a few years ago, not the best speakers but paired with a good sound card/optics it sounds awesomme.

More ram is always worth it..you will still get 3.5 gig useable out of 4 gig with 32 bit. You can always upgrade to 64 bit later.

I would go with vista X64 TBH. That seems like it would be your best option. The rest of your system seems fine, though I am shocked by your low 3dmark06 score. I get 10K with my system.

Pretty decent system overall. I'd get a sound card/speakers if you haven't already even though that doesn't improve any benchmarks of FPS, it just puts that wonderful polish one something already great

If you want a performance decrease, then go for Vista!

If you want a palpable perfomance increase. Go for a sound card preferably with onboard memory. Not only does this allow you access to high end sounds in games, but it free's up CPU and RAM which translates as a noticeable FPS increase.

However, if you are thinking of X-Fi, then my advice to you would be to tread very carefully. I own X-Fi Fatal1ty and whilst Audio from desktop sounds phenomenal, I have aggravating sound issues in more than half the games I play (forcing me to practically 'disable' the ear candy features that I paid for).

What could be limiting be 3dmark score, maybe my card is stuck in 2D. I would have to get new speakers or headphones to justify a new sound card. My headphones were $10 from radio shack and are falling apart. My mouse is also very cheap.Maybe I could get new headphones a mouse and 4 Gb of ram. What headphones/ speakers would you recommenced.

I have a set of Sennheiser HD 555 and am very happy with them. However, beware the 6.5 jacks and the too chunky 3.5mm adapter jack. Also, this pair of headphones are 'open'. This means that you are not 'closed' off from the world and can hear things going on around you but also means that the world around you can easily hear your headphones.

My Speakers are Logitech 2.1 THX certified Z-2300. Again, I am very happy with these otherwise I wouldn't recommend them. However, I should point out that the bass is on these is KILLER. Great for having the tremor of explosions going right through your ones. Not so great for not being heard by your neighbours.

Not saying that this is the BEST gear you can get for your money, but I would vouch that these items are certainly top quality.

You could get some aftermarket cooling for your video card and OC it. That would help the 3dmark score.

I use the Accelero S1 or 2 I can't remember on my 8800GT and I get 40's idle and 45 max with a overclock. That's passively.
