Patriot Viper 4GB kit
Doing a new Phenom 9850 build and need advice on some good memory.
These are what I am looking at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820220334 Anyone have any experience or input on this memory? OR can suggest something better? Dont want to cut corners or do any "budget" memory. Also looking at these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227191 The OCZ's are D9 chips Thanks |

That OCZ looks pretty awesome but some folks are experiencing problems with them. Paulieg had some OCZ memory for sale that used some high binned elpida chips and he was more than happy with those.

I like the Patriot line up. I haven't researched any reviews for the Viper line though. I've been eying a new 2x2GB Dominator 1066 set. I've never heard anything bad about that line. Well I've heard they need to be ran at 800 but can over clock will past 1000 MHz. I'll try to search for some reviews or sources to back this up.

i habe the 4GB viper patriot kit and can say only one thing: Fast. As hell. And pretty too - the extended heatspreaders look awesome. Id highly recommend the kit!
*EDIT* i have ran the kit at speeds close to 1100Mhz, however i cant get them stable on 1200Mhz, but its not bad considering its an 800Mhz kit
