6800GS AGP coming next week
Good news for all users with AGP slots. The Geforce 6800GS will arrive next week. Like mentioned before, it will be based on the good old NV40 core, and will be a native AGP part. The new card will have the same price as the PCIe version - $249.

Isn't the GS 8 pipes? GET A 6800 GT THEN!!!! almost double the power for the same price on ebay. I got my 6800 GT from LEADTEK(!) for $245, and that is the best GT you can buy.

its 12 pipes.
and around here hardware is a heck of alot more expensive. and 99.9999% of etailers dont ship here. (and even if they did, i don't buy stuff online.) ssssssssssssssssssoooooooooooooo.................. . with everything factored in the price difference between a 6800GT and a 6800GS is a tad bit over 100 US$. and i just dont have that type of money to spend. let me break it down a bit for ya... ~5 NIS (new israeli shekel) = 1 US$. price of cheapest 6800GT = 2200 NIS = ~430-440 US$ (from a local etailer and actual store) price of 6800GS (for pci-e, and i'm assuming it'll be the same price for the AGP) = 1600 NIS = ~320 US$ (from that same store, which is the only one around here who carries that card.) and it dependes on the place you look at, but it can get even more of a price difference than that. Oh alright. Well still though, why don't you check ebay? I know you say you don't buy online, but there's most likely some international shippers on that. Plus with how much more your prices are, you'd be getting those things for unbelievable bargains. I mean a 6800GT is about $350 still over here, I got mine for $245, that's a great deal for me. Now for you, if it's $440 and you get it for $245, that's a steal. I'd check if I were you, there's bound to be someone that ships everywhere, I mean it's an international site

Alright first thing to tell you all a 6800 GS is equivalent with a 6800 GS. It has higher clock speeds to make up for the lesser pipe lines. Also, just as an FYI, the 7800 GT seemed to go down in price over the last week and now can be found for $300 (can be found for this at newegg.com). I suggest you see if they can deliver over there bc they are very reliable, plus you could get a much better card, but the 6800 GS is also a very good card if you rather have that.

You mean GS to GT I assume. But I doubt the 6800GS can stand up to the Ultra, or clocks near Ultra Extreme, which my stock 6800GT can do with the A400 heatsink. And it's AGP so the 7800 GT might not be a good idea if you don't have PCIe. Although, dang it, I bought the 6800GT for $250, and for $300 I could have a 6800 UEE killer? DANG IT, I guess who cares though, I didn't have PCIe at the time anyway.
