NEW! icons keep popping up
Those new icons in the review items come back from time to time. They go away if I reload the main page only to come back again later. 3rd time today every review is NEW!
![]() I'm using Firefox 2.0.0.12 if it has nothing to do with it.

It happens to me too, they can be there, or they might not. It's probably a bug with Firefox and the cookies or something. I'm sure once you read it, the icon is supposed to go away.
Using latest version of FF btw.

the new icon is displayed when you "your last visited" time is older than the day the review was posted.
you see that time in the right side column, where the login box is. any additional info to track down that problem would be greatly appreciated |

If it happens again, I'll check the last visited time. Like 3870x2 though I've "logged in" several times after the reviews have been posted. I do have the stay logged in thingy on, maybe it's something with that?
edit: OK, NEW! icons are back and last visited time is right. Welcome back, OnBoard, You last visited: 09-03-2008 12:49 AM

Now it seems to work. Got new icons just on the A-DATA flash and now with OCZ mouse. So this thread can be closed.

Hi W1zz,
Something else is happening with this. I noticed that my last visited date does not seem to be updating. It says 9/3/2008 @ 3:51 PM even though I have been in and out several times today. I cleared the browser cache but it still is reporting the same thing. The two latest reviews still report as being new. Maybe something I am doing/not doing but I am not sure what would cause that. Never happened before. Maybe a cookie setting that changed when I loaded IE8. I'll check that out. EDIT : Cookies still set to medium as was the case wih IE7

I think most of these issues are being caused by cookies .... people on tpu mostly have antivirus & antispyware software... and firefox can also delete cookies everytime its closed etc...
