Spore has arrived

Spore has now been released i picked up my copy on Wednesday and am wondering if anyone else has it and what there impressions are so far.

Overall so far my empressions are very good i havnt got far at the creature stage atm with my species the Trippys lol. Internet is required for gaming with full features offline is available with limited gameplay.

I posted some pics from the cell stage at the tpu screenshots thread

And also we dont need to jack the fallout 3 for 60 bucks thread.

I opted out of this... a little cartoony for my tastes. I ordered fallout 3 though.

I didn't like it, I played until the tribal stage and was sick of it. The way you can customize your creature is nice though.

I haven't played it, but the ones I've talked to say that the tribal stage is THE WORST and that it gets better when you reach space.

Swimming in the pool wasn't particularly fun either, nor was dancing for other species or biting them.

the game works in reverse in some ways. Once you reach space you get to unlock the more advanced toys and play god - you can create creatures from scratch like in the creature creator, you can blow planets up, all sorts of fun things.

of course, i cant wait to make my bananamen and potato people the only survivors in the galaxy, and then make them fight each other.... ehehe

I am already at space age - Its alot more fun than any of the other ages
But its hard! Mess with one of the solar systems, and your screwed! I messed with one, and now i got half the galaxy after my planets!
But its a great game, for casual players.

i have spent 4>5 hrs playing so far and i am up to the space age, good game dose get a little boring at times but still fun, i can see the space age taking a while to complete tho, lucky i have tomorow night off fo work

this time round im a carnivor but next tiem i will play as a vegie and see how things differ, it has been quite easy so far but all i ahve done is run around and eat what ever gets in my way

a few tips go for speed and smash as your perks and some extra health, altho smash is the most important as it help you kill bad guys quicker

also when creating vehicles (land and air) add several layers off hull (one inside to other) to give you the max of a extra 50% speed and health and the more guns you add the less speed/health you have, one other thing i havent worked out yet is the weapons i think the weaker guns are more rapid fire and the heaver guns are slower firing and also effect range (i had some issues with bad guys being able to shoot way further then i could (i went for a huge ass tank thing with all the big gunz it could hold)
