Palit 9600gt sonic and Olevia 232T
So my friend was helping me move into my new house this past weekend and at the end of the day we decided to pop in a movie, trouble was the dvd player and home theater system wasn't assembled yet. So I put my rig with its speakers up next to the tv and hooked it up via the 9600gt's native hdmi to the tv's hdmi so we could watch Hellboy 2. now if you notice on this page.
http://www.olevia.com/en-us/Products...2TLCDHDTV.aspx my tv's native is 1366x768 yet instantly I got a resolution of 1600x900 which I thought hmm that's odd, pulled up display settings and noticed it would go higher. turned it up to 1920x1080 and it worked perfectly. So we left it at that and watched the movie. got done and decided to fiddle a little more, so I tried the native resolution of 1366x768. and was greeted by an unsupported resolution. while I'm not complaining I thought it was odd. that the native res wouldn't work yet higher ones did. My tv is a refurb so it's possible some of the internals are different, but still. it's odd. anyone else have little quirks using hdmi like that? |
