Unless you use some stuff that will take advantage you probably wont like it to be honest...

I'm tickin back and forth myself in putting my e6750 back in, this quad is faster for video and audio work, but in games its a bit slower mainly because I'm at 3.2 vs 3.8.

Well you're up, lets see what it can do

What did you have your e7200 clocked at?
*I checked your system specs...*

Ya you will need some clock, quads are not all holy, especially when you are running at a wimpy 2.4, I hear that 3ghz on a B3 is pretty easy and even 3.2 isn't hard.

I can tell you that I love my Q6600. When I switched from my E6600 @ 3.6GHz to my Q6600 I couldn't even get the Q stable at 3.0GHz(due to my shitty 680i board). I ran the Q at stock speeds and the system still seems more responsive than the E at 3.6GHz, games seems just as fast, but my benchmarks definitely suffered.

Now that I have the Q in a decent motherboard and have it clocked at 3.2GHz, the computer is definitely more responsive, games run just as well as my E, but most synthetic benchmarks are still slower.

That's part to core jumping, if you cut the process to 2 cores you should see a very slight increase.

Yeah, and I could also probably get a higher clock with 2 cores disabled. I'm just not that worried about it. I prefer to benchmark my machine at the settings I run 24/7, I'm not one to worry about getting the highest score possible by using special settings only for benchmarking.

Try to give it 1.5-1.55 volts and see how you land.

You might not get a good overclock with your motherboard. The nVidia 600 series is terrible for overclocking quads. Like I said, my 680i couldn't do 3.0GHz with my Q, my 650i P5N-E wasn't any better, but my 780i managed 3.2GHz.

They are not as well known for clocking, but some did pretty well.

yup they wont reach the speeds of the orig GO slacr's but a 100mhz oc at insane voltages points at a mobo issue being a B3 it will run hot and clock poorly but their is no reason not to get 3Ghz
