I'm not trying to sound cheap, but is that the biggest monitor you can get for such a low price? I want a flat screen bad and that price is jaw dropping.

probably. brand new the cheapest i've seen for 19in "off brands" is $139 on sale. thats a rock bottom price for them
so $54 even for a used or refurbished average 20in monitor is ridiculously low. if refurbished i wonder what grade it is? i have a refurbished 22in monitor. its great so far

lol, that price is pretty damn crazy. If 20" LCDs did higher resolutions (1900x1200 possibly?), I would definitely pick one up at that price. But I just don't want to try and adapt to using a resolution significantly lower than my current 2048x1536.

? small letters ?
No, you select 120dpi in display control panel... and all of a sudden your text is the same size but rendered with 50% more pixels = MUCH LESS LIKELY to get you blind, looks a 100x better. I'm still waiting for 2560x1600 in a 20" format. That would be a winner. |

I run 2048x1536 on a 21" CRT . . . and I use it from my bed, so the screen is even farther away from my face. I usually don't have any trouble reading text unless it's a small font to begin with, then I either lean forward or use a screen magnifier on the text.
