GPU for 3D rendering
So I am thinking of possibly upgrading my 8800GTX to maybe a 4870 at Christmas. But, I am wondering, is there any software that can harness the GPU for assisting in Rendering Frames in something like Maya, or XSi ModTool.
I noticed my Quad was full stressed rendering my last set of projects. About 10 minutes per image of my work.
I found this in a Google search, but being new to rendering, I don't know to much about the limits to my GPU:
Now, I'm not all sure how this would work, but if anyone has experience with this style of work, please share.
