11.5 inches! That's freaking long! It's pretty much neck and neck with the GTX280 in terms of performance.

Dude, nice find! Sounds like the GTX 280 is in a dead heat with ATi's second best card on the market!

There is a probability of Asus coming up with a 4850 X2, although not right now. Maybe by Xmas they could have one ready. Some other AIBs don't seem to be ready with their 4850 X2...AMD left it completely to them, to come up with their designs, so don't expect this Sapphire card to have any company the day it hits stores.

Yea I am kind of liking how they are the first for most stuff. First custom 4850 and now first 4850x2!

hmm, i still remember that one "editor" of hardocp said that 4850X2 would not be a worthy opponent for GTX 280, I am wondering what his face looks like now.

CF and SLI are waste of memory PCB and money.
They will become something else than waste when two gpus will use same memory I mean whats the point of double cacheing the same thing it is not like we are playing two games at once.
And because we are paying double in price wont hurt second GPU to add at least 70% instead of 30%.

Multy GPU is all about optimization and reviews are done with most popular games optimizations are too I bet that there are zillion other games tht 280gtx beats 4850x2.

Yeah a zillion games that Nvidia sponsored the development of.

Crossfire scales well in almost game I've tested (save for Crysis).

Clearly you just want to rain on the 4850x2 parade... which is fine but the numbers dont lie so get over it.

The 4850x2 is killer, I can't wait for W1zzard's review. I wish some other AIB's were ready to release some 4850x2s I like Sapphire but I don't really like this design I'd much rather see the 4870x2 cooler on the 4850x2. IMO 4 display ports is a novel idea and novelty feature at the same time.

There is a reason ATI didnt release the 4850x2 earlier. Its just as good as the 4870x2. They didnt want to shoot themselves in the foot. The only place you'll see the DDR5 is very high resolutions or future games. The 4850x2 is just that good.

Tell me where I went wrong? I saw in the graphs that the GTX 280 and 4850 x2 are pretty even in games. Of course I must be a Nvidia fanboy with all those Nvidia cards I use. Oh wait, after looking at your other posts, just forget it.

Oh boy, let's play conspiracy theorists...Every review site with results that please you is on AMD's payroll?
