System Specs

If you are using PC3200 (DDR400) RAM in a board that is asking for PC2700 (DDR333) or PC2100 (DDR266) it is not a problem since the motherboard will (hopefully) automatically clock the RAM back to its maximum speed.

If you are getting those kinds of errors then your system is not stable, if you can't install windows then I would try memtest86+ (www.memtest.org), at least you can rule out your RAM that way. Possible bad components include:

CPU
Motherboard
RAM
CD-ROM drive
HDD
CD-ROM/HDD cable
CD
PSU

For the RAM use memtest for everything else you pretty much have to swap and see if you can get it to run right. Since your install is probably compromised I would reinstall every time you swap a component. That list I made is pretty long and the most likely part to be bad in this situation is the CPU in my experience.
