BSOD during XP and Vista install....please help

Hello all. I'm getting a BSOD during install of Vista and XP. With Vista, I'm getting

STOP: 0X0000007F (0X0000000F, 0X00000000, 0X00000000, 0X00000000)

For the most part, I'm getting it at the same spot during install, and that's right after I punch in the product key. I do use a Promise Ultra 133 TX2 controller card that the 2 hard drives are connected to. Not sure if that is relevant or not, because I connected the hard drives dorectly to the onboard ide controller and still have the same problem. I have swapped out memory, video cards, removed pci cards, even done a test on memory with mem test and it came out clean but to all of no avail.

The error I'm getting during the XP Pro install is

MACHINE_CHECK_EXCEPTION
STOP: 0X0000009C (0X00000000, 0X8054DA70, 0X000000FF, 0X20040189)

That error pops up during randon points during the install. Also, the hardware has been wapped out and tested as I mentioned above. Any help will be greatly aprreciated. Thank you very much.
