System Specs

Beta of Cat 8.12 released

http://news.ati-forum.de/index.php/d...-beta-download

Anyone gonna try it?

EDIT

Apparently, Asus is the one to "blame" for this release!

If this set is anything like the 8.11 RC2 I'll be happy. Hopefully these will be like the 8.11 in another respect in that they'll work with my AGP 3850.

UPDATE: Just fuggin' noticed, it's for Vista only. >.<

Because, during installation, it didn't have any display drivers to install ... ended up re-installing 8.10 which were the ones i had to begin with

Maybe these don't support my 4670? Dunno, really

check the packaging revision and 2D driver revision, also about the 3850 AGP working, what that because the driver wasnt a hotfix? because if it wasnt then thats great, Cant wait to upgrade my AGP driver to something newer than 8.5

Did the 8.10 hotfix not work for you eidairaman1? The 8.11 RC2 worked flawlessly for me as well. I've been waiting for weeks for AMD to release the 8.11 AGP Hotfix, but they haven't and now that we're into December I highly doubt we'll see one, I'm hoping they'll make it so that the 8.12's will work straight out of the box and have no need for a hotfix.

i havent upgraded drivers since 8.5, because for one 8.6 drivers and higher stated were for Radeon 2000 and 3000 cards, mine is 1950 Pro, which would Outrun Most 2000 and some 3000 Series Cards, 2 i dont upgrade drivers every month as i would end up doing that more instead of actually gaming, and 3 i only upgrade if i have serious problems and also to keep fresh every 5-6 months which winds up being worth it.

But to ask the Drivers you got were they Hotfix Drivers or not? Because if AMD incorporated the fix into the release drivers and not needed a hotfix that is great.
