6800GS AGP unlockable to 6800GT AGP?

as we all may or may not know, the "new" 6800GS for AGP comes with pretty much the same specs as the 6800GS PCI-E, 'cept for the fact that its core is slower.
meaning they both have 12 pixel pipelines and 5 vertex shaders.

i've just read a post on the guru3d forums that claims (and posts screenshots, in italian albeit, but still...) that you can unlock the additional 4 pixel pipelines and vertex shader using the venerable rivatuner utility, and thus turning the 6800GS AGP into a 6800GT AGP.

now, what i want to know, is if anyone else hear about this? or is this some sort of fake hoax or something like that...

cause i know that the PCI-E 6800GS' cant unlock additional pipes, but that's probably because they PCI-E version uses the "new" NV42 core and the AGP version uses the "older" NV40...

so... in short.... any comments from you people?

if the 6800gs agp is based off the nv40 instead of the nv42 then it might be possible to mod it into a 6800gt.

It is, People in the UK forums have already done this. One one diddant get any pipes unlocked, another got 16/6
