Monitor forum
If mods make a monitor forum under hardware, I will consider making a huge guide (sort of like pancho's Psu guide). I think monitors are a big part of computer technology, and I think it would be a very informative addition to TPU

You could just put it in general hardware though as well if they don't want another forum.

I say its a good idea, but the issue is that the sub forum wouldnt be created for just one guide. I realize you should see a following of questions and mini guides to come, but without a good showing the sub forum wont be created.
I would really like to see this "huge guide" either way. Good luck with this.

im not going to make it for no reason, its alot of work,
thats the thing that TPU is weak on, especially when I see people here telling other people to buy TFT panel monitors, that just kills the hell out of me. But I can't be on 24/7 to tell peopel what to do I think it would be a very informative forum, and monitors would be compared. + it wouldn't be the same as posting in general hardware up to you guys |

Why not have a whole thread dedicated to guides. So people looking for Guides can go there and browse the collection?

its up to W1zzard, not really on us to decide. I understand you don't want it to get lost in the usual posts, but if its good and informative members will ask to have it stickied. I realize thats little consolation, but I still say we need the proverbial horse to pull the cart first!

that kind of thing I would want for the monitor thread (on computerforum im talking about the 101 threads, even though they are not so good) |

you gotta admit, thats really missing from TPU
tpu has like nothing on monitors, even though that is a big component of a computer experience |

I could see it possibly being tied into the Graphics sub forum, as it is there, but as of up to now, this is the first request for it being a whole section to itself.

Not even graphics subforum, it is a forum upon itself, and needs to identified by the users as a critical component to a high quality computer experience.
Ask around see if anyone wants it |

I think a monitors section would be very useful and a guide stickied in that section even more helpful! It would also tidy up "General Hardware" a bit too.

My views exactly, when everything is jumbled up together it loses it's significance
If I get the confirmation that youwill give it a whirl, even if it crashes, and gets 0 views, as long as you will give it a chance I can write up that review, but this is a limited time offer, an I'd need the help of other people |

TPU does not make new forums, and the reason behind it is so that the overall forum is simple and easy to navigate. If you would like to create such a thread, that would be great and with enough popularity it could eventually be stickied in the General Hardware forum. This is the way it works and has worked as long as I've been here. It is up to the administrators of this forum if a decision needs to be made on this matter.

Again this is why I said you need to get things together first. Attack this like a business plan. get the info needed and get the help ready to go, and show an example of what you plan to offer. Right now it seems like just an idea, which can still be a good one, but it needs to evolve a bit first.
Don't take this as harassment, I'm actually here to help. If you want to offer it up only under conditions seems a tad hostile. You should do it to help others as you cant be on 24/7 as the OP says. Just trying to help you take the appropriate steps needed to make this idea turn into something more. I could be completely wrong, and W1zzard or one of the ubers may come in here and grant your request. Being here as long as you have, you know it takes a tad more than an idea to get something added/changed.

I can do all that, but first I need confirmation that it will be allowed to run first. For certain reasons I know that this would not work out if I would make a sticky under general hardware, here is a prime example, you see how many psu threads there are in general hardware? Even though the psu is the most important component of a computer.
It is such a critical component of a computer that it should have it's own forum, if all he'll breaks loose and it doesn't I through then I can make one for general hardware, ask w1zzard because I'm 90% monitor forum and 10% general hardware |

There hardly are any threads about monitors to justify a whole subforum. Just post in general hardware or under graphics cards.

I don't think we need an extra forum for monitors. Reason is, the forum is more for problems and we don't run into monitor problems all that often.
If you want to write something big, I am sure w1zzard will let you post it as an article, which will get a lot of attention.

You said that there would not be enough demand, so I went to the source of the demand and tried to show you that there will be demand for it
