Stop Bios Scan for IDE Drives, I have all SATA drives

I have all SATA drives, but the bios wastes like 15s scanning for IDE drives. How do i disable it ?

GIGABYTE EX-38 DS4 mobo

System Specs

Disabling the IDE channel in bios altogether? It's in the Integrated Peripherals section of your bios.

unless you have something in the bios that lets you disable it spacifically i dont think you can their programmed to do it because of the chance that a user will have one.

System Specs

Are you 100% sure it's scanning for IDE drives? Most of these scans scan for drives on a RAID controller and you should be able to disable that controller if you don't use it.

ya it says detecting IDE drives

System Specs

Given the fact that you only have one IDE slot, you'll most likely have one controller as well
I know my SATA RAID controller has an in-BIOS option to set the wait time... But I don't really know anything more if you've already disabled the controller itself...

sata is translated into ide on alot of boards. even my x58 says DET_IDE but its scanning for sata drives.
