abit is-10 pwm's running very hot
when i say that the pwm mosfet's are running hot, i don't mean meltdown...just hot enough to piss me off...anyway, long story short i have carved up some blocks of aluminum i had lieing around into heat sinks, and i was just wondering what the best way to attach them to the mosfet would be....is this so called "thermal paste" they say that attaches the ramsinks you can buy "real" thermal paste....or can just regular old super glue work....or whatever....any ideas...call me an idiot...whatever, thanks anyway

put thermal paste in the middle with a tiny bit of superglue near the corners
other people had success with mixing glue and thermal paste. with mosfets you really dont have to worry about having a great thermal contact |

regular old super glue works well enough.. i have had heatsinks stuck to the odd "hot" chip for years with it.. for an application like u mention it dont have to be the best heat conductor in the world..

that's kinda what i figured.
i have just simply been aiming at keeping them below 70C....and yes...i will post pictures, but it will be awhile, carving aluminum with a dremel tool is a pain in the ass

using all super glue might make the bond permanent, or you will rip up the mosfet when trying to remove the heatsink .. the are some super glue removal methods like put in the freezer or similar though
