I removed the fan from the factory heatsink and placed a 120mm on top of the heatsink, it helped with temps but hardly. Guess the factory heatsink can only dissipate soo much. |

CP in your bios set the stepping to P3.
P0 = Phenom w/tlb (9500 9600) P1 = Phenom wo/tlb (97** etc.) P2 = 9850/9950 P3 = PII Oh! 4GHZ for me on the Tri core! Last edited by erocker; Mar 22, 2009 at 02:53 AM. |

Ok, I don't think it's possible to unlock the fourth core on my processor
. I have tried just about everything and I still can't get it to work. The bios see's all four cores and even even during post it see's the four cores but I can't get it to boot into windows, I just hangs at startup. I've tried upping the voltage on everything to no avail, guess I just got a bad fourth core.BTW, my proc is 0904EPDW. I google'd it but I couldn't find anything. |

The one that came with the MB. I tried updating it to the newer one but that didn't work either.

I guess it really isn't that big of a deal but I really wanted to get one that would unlock and be stable. Oh well, I guess I'll try for 4Ghz on 3 cores.
