.bin and .rom database bios files for flashing

how come when i search and download bios' they are in .bin and when i want to flash my card, it requires a .rom file?

what should i do or am i doing something wrong?

I'm pretty sure you can just rename it to .bin or .rom according to whatever you need to use for recognition.

Not possitive tho, so wait for a confirmation on this!

I took a chance and renamed the file and flashed it.

renaming the file does work!

my only problem was that the firmware I downloaded and flashed it with, didnt work out, i had to reaload the original. Thanks again

you can flash .bin or .rom, both should work.

i was using nvflash and it will not accept .bin, but never fear, i just renamed it and it confirmed it was a bios.
