9800 pro to 9800XT??

Is it possible to flash a Sapphire Atlantis Radeon 9800 Pro 128 to a 9800XT???and if so what what do i gain on doing that?

That's the 128bit version of the Pro right? Sorry mate, but if that's the case you're out of luck, should have spent some $30 more on the 256bit version.
If it is the 256bit version, here's a guide on how to flash it to XT:

As for the benefits, you get about 5-7% increase in performance compared to an 9800Pro at XT clock. BUT you also must replace stock cooling if you don't want to fry your core, Pro cooler simply isn't up to the task. Good luck.

You can flash a 128 MB 9800 Pro to a 128MB 9800 "XT". I'm going to do it next week. See this arcticle:

It comes down to whether you have the R350 core which came with the first 128 MB 9800 Pro's or the R360 that was placed in later models, probably because they had an excess of those and a lack of 350's, which were "detuned" to the performance of a 9800 Pro. Most 9800 Pros made lately, including mine, have a 360.

Yes, but the "Atlantis" 9800Pro is a 128bit card, you cannot flash it to XT, even if it has the R360 core, sapphire really screwed ppl when they released that card.

No it isn't, the Atlantis is just Sapphire's name for the card... check with ATI-tool whether it's 128 or 256bit

According to that press release, if he bought the Atlantis 9800Pro after May, he got the 128bit version.... He should try using Atitool to be sure though, or looking at the PCB, if the RAM modules have an "I" arrangement, then it's the 128bit version, if the modules have an "L" arrangement then it's the 256bit version.
