Recovery

My harddrive died well i assume it did, when i swich it on it keeps making some knocking sounds. Anyway, is there a way i could get my data of the harddrive? I realy need to get some important files from there.

You may be able to slave the drive on a working PC and then may be able to get some of your files.

i did try that but the drive seems dead, even on the bios i can't detect it.

Well the clicking sound means it will not help to change the pcb board ...there is a california company that garantees file recovery but it cost like $2000+ and only charge if they recover files....you could try the frezzer trick but I doubt it will work.

It is one thing to have (mechanical problem) that nocking sound you are hearing and another thing not to be detected in the BIOS (PCB eletrical problem).
You have them both I don`t think that there is chance of recovering any data. Your HDD cant be any deader.

it shows in BIOS but it don't boot, even as slave.
