Resolves PhysX SDK runtime issues with multi-GPU configurations in Hybrid environments.
I'm I misunderstanding this or is the holy grail of physX arrived and now running ATI/NV combos will work in vista.

Good question but, I think they are talking about their "nvidia" hybrid gpu thing, right?

It works fine in single GPU systems if they're something like a 9800GT I think, not sure about what it's like on lower end stuff, Dual GPU systems work fine with this if it's a decent card.

exactly, what's the point of installing this driver ?

Because all the physx games are extremely laggy (free games) like Warmonger for example which I can't even run with the lowest settings.

Anyway I've already installed it yesterday.

It's only really good on higher end single card machines and multi-gpu machines with slightly worse cards.

8800gt and up will not have a problem running gpu physx along side the game itself, the more extra power you got the faster it will be though.

the 9600gt is a lesser model, and i have seen with my own eyes that at 1600x1200 it just cant hack it with physx support based games.

the 9600gt was good when it first hit, but now.....well the 4670 is a better value(can get them for 60bucks new) and the 4830 rapes it(can find them for 100bucks, and with a bit of overclocking they can match stock 4870 perf)

MassEffect is a good game, BUT and this is a big butt THE DRM IS HORRIBLE, sad when people who buy a game have to crack it because the installed to many times and dont wana spend weeks trying to get EA to unlock another install..........

Improves performance of some PhysX enabled games on GeForce GTX 285 and GTX 295 products.

improves? no... fixes is more the word. the physx driver that comes with 185.20 doesnt work at all with the gtx295. this update fixed that real quick. now the 295 smashes physx in the face.

I've never been on the phone with EA more than five minutes with EA having them unlock more installations, they have really good customer service.
In fact if you just uninstalled the game before reformatting/installing it on other computers/what have you, you would be fine because it gives you back the installation when you uninstall the game.
