I am also trying to get a bios from Sappire for another card, I wonder if you could get the BIOS by request?

If you are looking to do the flash on the 2900 I think the 3rd link is what you want. No guarantees tho!

actually that is only the drivers. I just browsed 20 pages of google and can't find a bios update for it other than the mod. i'm sorry

is there something specific your trying to do?

Hi! Cristine. I didnt find the Bios for ATI FireGL V8600, there. Too, it dont have in the TechPowerUp VGA collection.

I know this driver mod and it worked perfectly for me.

But the Autocad doesnt have recognized the card as a FireGL, because the device ID on the bios still is from a 2900XT.

But the results in the SPECviewperfect10 they exploded.

The my card is a Diamond Viper 1GB.

I tried your link, Carlos, but it contains only ATIWinFlash.
I think I need the V8600 bios too.
Maybe someone knows if the V8650 2Gb bios will work with HD2900Pro 1Gb.
Or if it's possible to keep the HD2900 bios, changing the card ID with RBE, and install unmodified FireGL drivers ?

Hi Hieronymus,

you are wrong.
The BIOS file is the last one in the zip folder

S3B31302.103

It is the most recent Bios I was given for my V8600.

Run winflash as admin > Bild Laden > choose the BIOS file > Speichern > OK

I was looking for a kind of .rom or .bin.
It seems that this thread is the only place on the web to find the FireGL V8600 bios.
Now I will try to flash my Sapphire HD2900-Pro 512bit 1Gb GDDR4 with it.
