MCHC Question and 1080p

OK guys is this the best I can get for GPU acceleration of MKV and Xvid AVI movies?

What I am trying to do is put most of the load on the gpu vs my cpu.

**This is a resized 1080p Hancock to 1360x768 playing through Media Player Classis Home Cinema x64

the *only* program that provides acceleration for MKV files is VLC. YOu need it in direct3D mode, and enable the hardware acceleration options. This is only partial acceleration - it halved my CPU usage which is better than nothing, but real acceleration is 0% CPU usage.

Problem is, VLC cant handle digital audio atm - so if you use digital outputs, you're screwed.

That's what I thought, but also not using the onboard sound rather the video cards HDMI sound you would think GPU acceleration would be greater.

Surprised though Mussells that I got it to work that well with MCHC?
