Good Motherboard for DualCore

As I read more about dual cores I get more and more confused. So I'm curious are there any specific motherboards that any one knows of, that would work better with dual-core processors than others, and why do they?

I'm curious because I want to get the most I (currently) can out of a dual-core processor if I get one. And of those are there any better at overclocking a dual-core more than another?

System Specs

abit kn8 ultra 2gig (4x512) 2.5 noname dual channel value ram, 3800+ x2 runs like a dream at stock, 2000, 1.39v will do 2550 stable with original fan htt x4, mem @333 and 255x10, at 1.43v will go into windows @2.6 and 2.7 but random lockups and blue screens, havnt really tried to get it stable im happy with how it is for now @2550, going to try to build a water cooling system in the next 2 or 3 months then try and push it as high as possible, i reckon playing with the mem dividers and htt it could go 2.8 -2.9 with decent cooling. According to speedfan, dont know how reliable that is, but both cores at 100% load running prime95 torture test for 2 hrs max temp is 60c.
Hope that helps
