Need Help to recover my mobility 2600's bios

Hey there!
First of all i ask you to excuse my poor english.
My problem is: I tried to use RBE and winflash to increase the clocks of my mobility 2600xt. i followed the instructions of a german forum.evrything worked great and the tool said something like "bios flash complete.reboot now?".so i pressed yes but since then my laptop doesn't boot anymore.i have no picture and the attempt to use a bootable stick to recover my original bios failed also.i even tried it with a new graphics card which i've bought in ebay but it didn't work.with the new card my laptop beeps two times but don't do any more. now i really don't know how to rescue my beloved latop.i am be very grateful for every help.

with regards from bavaria

I think your problem is the manufacture name in the bios. All Acer have this issue when you insert another mxm card with the wrong manufacture name on it. I am not sure if other laptop manufacture use this aswell. The only solution is to reprogram the mxm card with the correct manufacure.

@VuurVOS:
the problem is that it's no mxm card.i've bought my laptop in a store that don't produce the laptops itself.i think the parts are from fujitsu siemens.

@BAGZZlash:
the link to the site is http://www.forumdeluxx.de/forum/show...postcount=1671

is it possible that the graphic bios is stored on the mainboard? that would explain why the exchange of the card didn't work.or is it possible that i've destroyed my "normal" bios?

thanks for your help

If your graphics card is upgradeable, I am sure they will put it on the graphic card it self. What did you remove to change the graphics card? memory? cpu? cables ?

Can you post your laptop manufacture and model?

it's not upgradeable but "changeable".i want to say that you only can replace the original card but you can't put in another card no matter if it's a mxm card or not.the laptop is a one c7000.to change the card it was sufficient to remove the bottom and the fan.

Did you test it with an TFT screen connected to your laptop? Is also the fan correctly connected? Some motherboard wont boot when the fan isn't connected.

Did you try to flash from a HDD/CD because at some bios the option boot from USB is not enabled in "standard". when you have a writhabel medium (try first our usbstick, then an HDD) you can say atiflash to log the "output" so you can read afterwards what happend etc. .
Another thing, did you try the parameter -f (force flashing) and -nw (so you dont need to confirm actions during flash process.)
When you log the action can you also please log what atiflash -i says , because i have an similar problem with an HD2700.

Good luck

Hey MrKGB!
i got it to repair my laptop myself after the "expert" didn't know how to do that. the solution was quite simple: i found a knew bios at fujitsu siemens that also works on my laptop (P55IM barebone).After flashing this bios atiflash -i found an adapter - before it said no adapter found. then i reflashed my graphic bios and know it works. good luck!
regards
