Asus open item?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...2E16813131346R

Its $85 cheaper than what i paid for the retail box @ microcenter.

i know when buying open item you risk not getting anything with it.

For those who have bought open items, did you or did you not receive what came with the retail?

also i am considering it and then if it doesn't come with the IO sheild, stealing the one from the microcenter box and returning the one to microcenter

Comments, concerns, thoughts?

Mkmods said he bought 99% of his hardware open boxed. Most of them had no probs, IMO i wouldn't buy an open box, but if u have the money why not??

I bought an Asscrock 939 dual sata 2 open box and an X1800XL open box. The XL was damaged and had to be returned and the motherboard worked, but came with NOTHING. Just the board and an anti static bag.

I bought an Open Box HD4850 and got the best dam* Vid Card ever... and ASUS even agreed to warranty it for the full 3 years (I asked their tech support about it).

its out of stock. and i do want the i/o shield. I dont think $80 extra is worth it for the box, cd manuel, bridge, extra sata cables, and the usb bracket.

i got an open box m3n-ht deluxe 2 weeks ago and it came with nothing, i just paid 10 bucks to get the sli bridges sent from asus and a backplate that they through in because i told them "the board didn't come with it" and i'm golden, it's also in perfect condition and appeared to have never really been used, was clean and without defect and runs my p2 940 at 3.9Ghz on air just fine. one of the best boards and my 5th asus board going from socket a to am2+

I got my current P5Q Deluxe open box on newegg for a lot less than the retail price. Only had a 15-day return policy. It shipped in a plain white box, with just the MB in an antistatic bag w/foam backing. No extras, no cd's, just the board, which was all I wanted and needed. The board has been flawless to this day, and I saved about 80-90 bucks in the process.
