ASUS, a pioneer in the adoption of cutting-edge notebook graphics, announced today the ASUS N81Vg, the world’s first notebook to feature the new NVIDIA GeForce GT 120M graphics processing unit (GPU). The NVIDIA GeForce GT 120M GPU features NVIDIA CUDA technology with 32 processor cores, DirectX 10 support, and 1080p High Definition video playback through NVIDIA PureVideo HD technology. Coupled with the ASUS N81Vg’s 14-inch LED backlit display, the NVIDIA GeForce GT 120M delivers unrivaled visual clarity and vibrancy.

Combining Effortless Mobility with Stunning Graphics Performance
The pairing of the ASUS N81Vg and the NVIDIA GeForce GT 120M provides users with numerous multimedia options in a small, highly portable notebook designed to take entertainment to the streets.

"The ASUS N81Vg uses the GeForce GT 120M GPU to deliver a visual computing experience far superior to other notebooks in its category today," said Rene Haas, General Manager, Notebook Products, NVIDIA. "With 32 powerful processing cores, the GeForce 120M GPU makes photo editing, video editing, movie ripping, high-definition Blu-ray playback and gaming a reality on 14-inch notebooks."

a renamed 9500GT huh, so that makes how many in the 1XX GT series renamed now, umm, let me see, oh yeah all of them so far right.

nice

before i get attacked, I know ati does this too every now and then, but nvidia has done this for for nearly the entire 9 series and now the entire 1X0 GT and GTS series so far, thats ridiculous.

its time for the G92's and g96's(G84 with die strink) to die already

Wake up DAAMIT!

I know this move is, again, stupid. But you have to admit that it effectively increase their margin. DAAMIT should have learned this lesson from nVidia a long time ago. nVidia don't even have a new product but they do have a "new name" for their old product and to some end users. It doesn't really matter where this GT120M came from. PC manufacturers always be able to sell these babies as the "newest mobile GPU up to date". And what do we got from DAAMIT's side? mobility Radeon HD34xx, 36xx, 38xx and that's all. They should focus more on mobile market than ever now if they don't want to be left in the dark with their paper-launched M9x GPUs.
