Logitec Releases New 1.5 TB External Hard Drives
Japanese hardware manufacturer Logitec (≠ Logitech) released the new LHD-ED line of 1.5TB external hard drives, variants of which are segregated on the basis of connectivity options:

I wonder why the went with such a similar name to Logitech. Its either gonna confuse the crap out of people, or make them think they are buying a good, well established brand.

"Logitec" was a name already established in Japan before the Logitech came to be (estd. 1982), and Logitech operates under a different name there (Logicool).

It looks nice, but if the company is only willing to warranty it for a year it makes me uneasy about the quality of the product. IMO drives should have a 3-5 year warranty minimum.
