will this mobo work with 1033ddr3 ram and a 500 watt psu

i will have: the mobo above, 500 watt psu ,1033 3gb crucial ram, nvidia 8500GT, 160gb sata HD, 2 generic ATA cd drives, CORE I7 920?

cheap and i7 are not something you will be seeing in the same sentence. The cheapest LGA 1366 boards are all around $200, and the cheapest i7 is the 920 coming in at $290ish. Thats about $500 for the mobo and proc. I will assume you want to stick with Intel, if so if I was you I would stick with the LGA 775 products.

The mobo's are a ton cheaper, the Q9550 is pretty darn powerful and heck if you can OC the Q6600 is a beast. And take that spare money to round off your computer with a good videocard.

+1 for the LGA775. If you don't have to have intel, there is always the Phenom II's which are great for overclocking and aren't nearly as expensive as i7
