Fallout, Fallout 2 & Fallout tactics (PC)??

Were these any good ? Never heard of fallout until Fallout 3 and that was one hell of a game.
Now I'm thinking about these if they were any good.

really Fallout 3 is the bastard child of Oblivion and Fallout 1+2
but again all are enjoyable, the third is noticeably easier to get into and is quicker to kick off - ie beefier weapons + equip earlier on etc etc

If you're looking for some fancy graphics, then F1 and F2 isn't for you. But if you're looking for some awesome turn-based RPG with a great storyline, F1 and F2's for you.

edit: what about story lines im half way through 3 but does 1 and 2 link in with three or can u understand it all without them? coz i dnt no much about the history other then a big bang

Fallout 1 and 2 were fantastic. Different from Fallout 3 because they were turn based.

I would recommend that if you were going to get them gettem from GoG.com (Good old games) they have them for 4.99 a piece DRM free download install do whatever you want with them. They also have the patch's and player made expansion's all available for it.. and a Hi-res pack too i believe.

I used gametap for a while. Until they accused me of theft and canceled my account. I had 3 games that I shipped back that got lost in the mail, and they postponed/closed my account until i either paid for the merchandise or the merchandise was returned.

EDIT: Gamefly...is the one i meant...Gametap's good. Good call MM!
