CeBIT 2009: Scythe
![]() Scythe is displaying quite a few new cooling solution as well as some prototypes. Let us start with the concepts first. The "Godhand" is an extremely large CPU cooler, which hovers over the top half of the mainboard. Then there is a large, passive block with heatpipes. This unit is intended for midrange GPUs and can handle around 60W of heat. Then there is a large version of the Kama Cross, simply called Kama Grand Cross. ![]() The new retail coolers are quite numerous as well. The Kabuto and Zipang 2 use seperated aluminum fins, so that each heatpipe has their own set of cooling fins to use. They are also offering a new Shuriken unit, which manages to be even lower than the original, but also feature a larger 120 mm fan. The Ninja Wire on the other hand is a simple, metal string, which is intended to hold a large CPU cooler in place and take the strain off the mainboard. ![]() Scythe is also working on power supplies, and their Kamariki series is ready to go, while the Chouriki is still in the works. The Kamariki uses some modular cables and gives you the option to connect three fans directly to the power supply. These are then regulated by the amount of total power drawn from the PSU. I like the completely passive GFX cooler, that looks awesome!

looking at all those pictures, it seems they either are sloppily built or their shipping containers are crap because i noticed alot of the fins are bent on all the coolers.

That godhand fan looks like it not only cools, but gives your pc the ability to hover as it acts as a helicopter rotorblade...
I'm liking the look of the kama grandcross as well.

I had a Kama Cross (i'm referring to the original old version), i dumped it for the Intel boxed cooler as my q6600 was hotter even with a big and nasty 2000 rpm 120 mm cooler strapped on these "Japanese" .

first impressions make or break a product line, if they are crap at the beginning there is no confidence they are going to be better, just like the US Economy, and you can't blame the bush admin for all of that stuff, because the ball is in Obama's court now.

Why isn't there a picture of that first picture GPU cooler with fan? Seems quite similar to the fanless one, but isn't the same, more narrow. The fanless also seems to have a spot in the middle for 15mm fan?
Anyhow NINJA fanless with fans will be quite a cooler (as long as it's compatible with G200)edit: Here's a picture of the other VGA cooler: http://www.pcgameshardware.com/aid,6...ototypes/News/

I can't believe that Scythe is showing these as samples! They only indicate poor quality. I mean if a company can't produce a good looking sample what is the real product going to look like.

the fanless vga coller isn't of the best quality, those alu metal plates should move like that, they should have a good contact with the pipes to soak in all the heat!
but OMG... lobe huge cpu coolers

Special feature of these new coolers: they crush your CPU and/or graphics card when used. Seriously, with that much copper and aluminium, I shudder to think of the weight of these coolers...

This Ninja Wire thing is weird man. I see some poor building quality of GPU fins, that can do damage shortening PCB.
