Another way to save energy on your moniter.... Push off button when not in use. Also, that monitor does not look 4:3 to me!

Nah the best way is to unplug once you've switched off your pc, someone did a test any he ended up saving about $2~7 off his bill...

Why would I want an energy saving monitor!? I'm pretty sure last time I looked at my screen I didn't think "Hmmm, how could I make this save more energy?" I think it was something along the lines of how could I get higher resolution and better contrast/response time...

No numbers on what kind of power it does take ?. My Sammy 204B 20.1" only takes 20w and is rated 40w due if some one had it at max contrast \ brightness which i don't think any one would do.

I'd suspect that means these LCD's have internal scalers that allow for displaying a 4:3 mode. You'd just have vertical black bars on the left and right sides when in this mode. Nothing new really...
