cool..

I would invest in a better heat sink and fan 40 bucks would get a good one..plus with the as5 you temps will be really good..How is the air flow in your case?

an easy way of testing how much hotter the inside of your case is than the ambient room temps which are the bottom line.. is to run it with the case side off then with the case side on and check the difference of your cpu temps.. the less the difference the better your case cooling..

temps at idle dont matter much anyways its how hot things get when under load that matters..

dare i ask... he he he

u cant really trust the readings to be honest.. u have a decent cooler if its mounted properly and your internal case temp isnt tooo hot it should be okay..

no real reason for it not to be.. try the side off trick..

taking the side off will lower your internal case temps.. not increase them side fan or not.. bascially your case becomes one with the room when its all exposed as opposed to being an enclosed seperate heated container..

the main point i am trying to make is being as u have u decent cooler only two other things can cause your cpu temps to go up too high.. excessive overvolting or a poorly cooled case.. taking your case side off removes the posibility of the poorly cooled case..

ok i got ya....well took it off and it stayed the same temp....my side fan has is at 3000 rpms and blows directly over the cpu hs and fan...so should it still drop down in temps without side on?..sorry for being a pain...lol

it normally drops but your side fan blowing straight on it might kinda even things out.. either way it tends to suggest u dont have case cooling problems..

u can buy front panel temp readers with little probes on wires that attaches to get temp readings.. a bit fiddly trying to fit one near your cpu core thow.. personally i would put it down to your temps sensors reading high and not worry about it..

those temps are very high. try to keep it under 50c load if you can. if you cant, dont overclock so high until you get a better heatsink/fan and some better thermal compound
