Raainbow Six Vegas 2 Bad performance?

Is this normal with my config. I mean its dropping to 27 fps at certain times ....is there something I'm missing or is it a game that is known to have performance issues? I have tried with hardware skinning off and on, lower resolutions, lower and no AA and also all low settings all to no avail.

I had bad performance with my 8800GT as well, Same card different sticker. Also sometimes my gtx260 struggles. Its just that the game isn't coded well.

I have this game and I must admit, even though the game play is great, the game itself sucks. If you ever fancy a game, come on over to the my forums. Gentleman-Bastards link in my sig.

Don't think you need to upgrade anything either I doubt any cards get 60fps in that game. It also nearly killed my 8800GTS.

It runs fine for me. I get 50-70fps, kinda jittery but it's playable!

Thats the equivelant of two 9800GT's but still if the game was made properly it would be about 150 fps.

But I'm only playing at 1280 x 1024 and getting 27-55/60.....gonna play some COD 4 so I feel like my machines worth it again

Crysis on High DX10 runs at a pretty constant 30-38 and feels uber smooth as well.

GtaIV is really good on the pc. Should try some mods when you've completed it.

Runs great on my machine at 1680x1050. I had to scale it way
back on my other gamer with the 3650 card though.
