System Specs

Upgrade time!

Well, the aussie government gave us poor students a $950 cash bonus to help "stimulate the economy"

Upgrade time!

New system design!

Gaming PC:
Q6600 @ 3.2-3.6Ghz, depending on how this board goes.
Thermalright TRUE 120
DFI LanParty LT-X48-T2R Motherboard
6GB DDR2 ram (no change, but i hope to clock it higher!)
4870 1GB
SECOND 4870 1GB thats right bitches, CROSSFIYAAAH!
Auzentech X-mystique (not installing the onboard module)
OCZ gameXstream 600W* (fan modded)
40" HDTV 1360x768
Logitech Z-5500's
Saitek Eclipse II keyboard
Logitech G5 (s009 edition)

*This might be pushing it for the crossfire. If i have issues, i'll be lowering the CPU clock to 3.2GHz.

LAN PC
90% of the time, this PC sits in my bedroom in sleep mode. 9% of the time i'm watching movies/anime late at night on it. 1% of the time it actually goes to lans.

Q6600 @ 3.5GHz
Xigmatek HDT 92mm Heatsink
Asus P5E-VM HDMI matx board
Intel onboard/4870 1GB*
4GB DDR2 960
Onboard audio/lan
OCZ gameXstream 600W (fan modded)
Logitech MX518
MS keyboard (generic, but tough)
23.6" 1080p samsung screen
*The second 4870 will be moved to here for lans. The lans are only monthly now, so i might as well consolidate them into the one machine and save power when not gaming on this rig.

Any comments on the new stuff, particularly the DFI board?

my housemates have the other two

I'm mostly interested in opinions of the DFI board, it has 2x PCI-E 2.0 @ 16x, whereas same priced Asus boards have two 8x slots.
