Thinking of doing a little overclock ?????s

Ok...so my new build is up and running and i have been thinking of giving it a little OC.....i dont wanna get nuts yet just something simple and stable to try it for the first time....

system specs below....
AMD PhenomII X4 940
ASUS M4A79 Deluxe MOBO
8gb OCZ Gold DDR2 1066 Ram running at 800
2- HIS Radeon HD 4870s running CorssfireX
Cooler Master V8 Cooler
Cooler Master HAF case
PC Power & Cooling 750 silencer PSU

lemme know where to start as this will be my first OC.....

How are your temps at stock I would say 3.6 should be very easy for the setup you have. How high would be nuts for you?

with that u should get a nice oc, try doing small things like pushing by 2 the multi (not 2 at once, 05 at once and stress test)

EDIT: 0.5 at once

thanks guys.....i havent fired up the machine in a few days....as soon as i feel a bit better from this Hernia surgery i had a couple of days ago i will sit down and play around with the settings and see what happens.....i am sure i will have a million more questions.....
