System Specs

Do i need the exact same two graphics cards to run sli

i want to run sli. i have a sparkle 9600gt 512mb do i need the exact same card to run sli all help is appreciated

You can use any brand card, but the cards must be the same I believe

so i could use 1 sparkle and i other brand graphics card aslong as its a 9600gt 512MB

System Specs

You do not need to have the same card from the same manufacturer. As long as it's the same gpu you'll be fine.

System Specs

Wanna be thrown a loop? The GTS250. 9800GTX+'s can be flashed to a GTS250 to allow SLI. I'm pretty sure it's also possible for the 8800GT's if you bios edit them for SLI with a 9800GT.

Other than that, the card's GPU must match, and if you have different size buffered cards. 1GB+512MB will become 2x 512MB.
