Buying a new Comp, need advise please.

I have plan to get a new pc in the next 2 weeks, mainly i aim for;

Intel Core i7 Extreme 965
GTX295
X58 Chipset Motherboard(what i have in mind is Gigabyte GA-EX58-EXTREME)

Thats it, the rest doesnt matter.

The question is,
Would it be any faster cpu coming out soon? (i7 975?)
would it be any newer graphic card coming out soon? (GTX320?)
Or even an X68 Chipset Motherboard?

Anybody have any idea?
Should I get it now or should i wait? cuz i really have no clue about whats gonna release in the future.

Depends on what your definition of soon is.. if you think about it, every time a new product is released the engineers move onto another project. In your mindset, you'll never purchase your computer.

What exactly do you plan on doing with your computer that requires the i7 965?

Wait for the 4890X2 cards to come out. It won't be long since the 4890 is out already, and it'll almost definitely outperform the 295.

For gaming... well if you know how to overclock, the 940 would be sufficient. Unless you're that keen on getting the most performance for the most money, then yeah no other choice would be better than the 965.
