Recommend me some RAM.

My parents are flying over to the US in a couple of weeks and I have the opportunity to order some RAM off the egg or tigerdirect to my relatives' home and my parents will bring it here.

I need 8Gb (4x2Gb or 2x4Gb, but the latter is not likely to fit the requirements) of fast DDR2 RAM. Price is not really an issue here, since from what I saw the most expensive 4Gb kits cost over there as much as a pair of plain 2Gb sticks here.

Simply put, I'd like a recommendation for the best of the best DDR2 money can buy.

Thanks !

Ackkkk. I must've missed THAT one when I was checking prices. That's a bit steep on the price, even for my lack of inhibition as far as computer purchases go.

I was hoping to fit two sets of sticks in 150$ (200$ tops) or preferrably less. So I correct myself. Anything within a reasonable price frame please. 226 for 4Gb DDR2 is just insane.

In any case, thanks for the suggestion !

the problem is finding ddr2 that will do 1200mhz is hard nowadays... kits rated at 1000 will do 1150 but not much higher. the PC ICs are real stable and not volt hungry but they hit a wall very easy

I don't need DDR2 1200Mhz. 1100 or so would be quite sufficient actually. I won't reach DDR2 1200 land anyway, I think. So the best in those thereabouts, and saner prices ?
