ZOTAC AC Accelero EXTREME GeForce GTX 275 Spotted

It seems that ZOTAC has also borrowed Arctic Cooling Accelero EXTREME VGA cooling for some of its high-end graphics cards. Soon enough ZOTAC will make an announcement for its third GeForce GTX 275 card, the Accelero equipped ZOTAC GTX275-896D3 with 896 MB. The upcoming card is based on the P897 PCB with a 6+1 phase power design, a 448-bit memory interface, DirectX 10 and 3-way SLI support. In contrast to the GALAXY GeForce GTX 275 with AC, the ZOTAC card will come with stock frequencies - 633 MHz core, 1404 MHz shaders and 2268 MHz for the memory. Zotac's Accelero-powered GTX 275 is expected sometime this month, price is yet unknown.

I bought the AC Accelero 280GTX eXtreme cooler... The cooler itself is great, cools great. But I cant use it today because and this is the only drawback with this cooler... The VRM cooler just is not up for the job, the gpu stays easily under 60c under heavy load, even with great OC´s. But the VRM temps are easily over 100c under load, and that does no feel comfortable to me, at all. I logged a maximum VRM temp @ 125c... And that made me remove the cooler at once, I went back to the standard cooler, and now the vrm is never over 90c and this is still with my oc. Even gpu stays under 70c. So do not buy the cooler, or this card as it is not as great as you would expect it to be.

GTX 275 has a different VRM set up (much easier to cool). The supplied VRM sink is not used in this. Only 65nm GTX 260/280 must use it and have the problem you describe.

Look for my thread, if you want to combine the two coolers (post #11 & #12 to be exact):

Yeah, I know. It has plenty fine ramsinks included. Problem with extra ram sinks for VRM is that they don't fit! The VRM's are tiny and surrounded with surface mounted components, as you can see from my pics in the review

I did build my own, but as OnBoard said, the VRM chips are super tiny and hard to get anything to get stuck on... But thx onboard for you tip, I will check youre link! Thx.
