From time to time , in the forums , there is created " small groups " of people ,
they create there private team, and in every misunderstanding , they jump on you ,
like a flock , spreading warnings and show their hostility and nasty character .


Fresh example this thread ... http://forums.techpowerup.com/showthread.php?t=90710

Some one ... post his opinion about the subject ...
Then .... some one criticized the opinion of another member ...
Then .... The first member asked for clarification ...
Then .... The responder said , I do not do that because you will not understand the answer ..

One moderator send a " last warning " .. This is your last warning. Do not thread crap the folding sub-forum.


And i say , that some one has to re evaluate ... if this Mod person, truly worths to be one .


And now i will state clearly what bothers me, for long time now .....
I do not see on this forums , members from all over the Europe ...
Were is the Italians .. the Germans .. and other countries ??

Looks like that some one bushing them ... terminate them ... or the nasty flock ,
does a good job to sabotage then , due the language imperfections , and isolate then,
or got them banned .

TPU is not the first , or the last forum , that hides nasty flocks in it ,
but If , this is an acceptable policy ... then just write it in the forum rules .

As a Greek with poor knowledge in foreign languages as English + German + Italian ,
it will make me to feel better , and not join-in , in a hostile environment .
If i got warned about it .

If i am wrong .... all moderators must be, re evaluated every year or so .

This thread its not a court of law .... its and official complain .

Acting weird , because you had a bad day , its forgivable ...
Acting by a hostile way , in everything you do not understand , or fighting it with your flock , its a crime against " International cultures " and isolates this forum , from pluralism .

The title of this post makes it sound like a threat - which you are in no position to make.
In that thread you got in trouble for hijacking and derailing. You directly asked someone to remove their signature pic, which is not something you have the right to do. If you dont like it, PM the user or contact a moderator.

After you start using bold font, i have trouble understanding your post. I truly have no idea what it is you are trying to say. I will reply to the parts i understand.

Where are the germans? RUNNING THE SITE. W1zzard himself is german/Living in germany.

TPU is an english forum - if you cant speak english, you go to another forum. Its a waste of everyones time if you cant ask a question we cant understand, and you cant understand our answers.

Sorry to hear you having problems on TPU. But I have to start with that fact that, be it as you have said "poor knowledge in foreign languages as English...", the actual comment you made about WhiteLotus' avatar comes across as an insult, at least to me. I believe everyone who responded to you in that thread did so without further provoking an argument, BUCK NASTY's comment about it being approved is true, as otherwise it would not be there, and he kindly asked to get back on topic, WhiteLotus even said to take the issue up by reporting it.

You then proceed with a second post which also comes across insulting about a someone's signature which is off topic and not tolerated on these forums. I believe BUCK NASTY handled the situation by the book, as any other moderator on this forum would.

I dont believe there are any hostile groups, sure there are groups of friends, but there are no bending of rules just because people are friends.
To a certain extent, I really do not understand what the problem is.

I'd like to add that your sig pic freaks me the hell out too. If i really had an issue i would block the pic or disable avatars, but its most definately artistic and no one else has a problem with it.

The only issue is Kiriakosts' wording. Instead of asking privately or reporting it to a moderator, he chose to derail an active thread with what sounded like a demand. Now he has made a thread which sounds very much like a threat

Looking at it from a moderators viewpoint, we have person A who has derailed threads and made threats, and person B who has an avatar that a very small minority of people dont like, but has not broken any rules.

Instead of pushing way the non naturally English speaking members ,
its best to push away , the ones who has problems to tolerate them .

Everyone is welcome on TPU. Only people who cause trouble and make insults are asked to leave. Those people who are moderators now didnt start that way, with the exception of w1zzard himself. They stuck around as regular users and got invited to join the staff.

It does the same to me. I do not like anything going into or touching eyes. However the artistic quality of the Signature that Imperial Reign created for me is one of the best on this site. I love it and will continue to love it, it is a masterpiece. I look through what it is and see just how awesome it is.

However in saying that - i myself do not see it at all because i have hidden all Avatars and Signatures as it makes each individual post almost double the size and it means more scrolling for me. I keep it on for other people to see - and anyway it's not like i post religiously in every single thread.

If enough people feel concerned about it i will give thought to removing it entirely. I will however, always love it and will continue to use it in other places. (namely XS when it gets back up)

Look at Hayder.Master - his english skills are poor, but he never causes any trouble.
Its attitude that cause problems. Not your native language.

In my opinion that sig pic could frak out a lot of people! But it is non offending to anyone. In the same sense that a sci-fi / horror film could freak out certain people, but they would still watch and love a movie of such gender!

In any case, every dispute should be delt with within certain limits and Mods should be listened to!

Doesn't bother me. But then again I laughed at 2 girls 1 cup. Only a few things really scare me. Real needles coming my way and bees. Maybe Nvidia drivers too

I do not know what happened there , a quick edit possibly , everything happened very fast,
and i did not do an "by quote reply " so to save the pricey text..

Even that way , i just see the reply about defensing the pricey signature ..

Personally i found it irritating , we should not promote to young ones such a material,
even if its called as art .

Any way , i have nothing more to say ... i had to sake the waters a bit ,
because of the above reactions .

So you've answered yourself. Respond to posts, not signatures/avatars (unless you're in the thread about signatures/avatars).
