Any solid i5 info?

So what's up with the i5? Do we have any prices or a release date? I want to upgrade my folding rig to a triple slot GPU board and a i5 when they come out.

End of this year iirc.

Will be cheaper than i7.

Thats all I know on that side of things. I'm waiting for i5 too. Will be my next upgrade.

How about performance-wise? Will it be close to i7 920?

I'm not worried about performance, it's just gonna be for my folding rig. If they don't OC like I've heard(which I doubt) I won't get one since the whole point for me at least would be to play with and when I'm done with that it's going straight to 24/7 folding.

Not sure on performance, you can only speculate on what is known now, no performance test as yet.

Though I did read a rumour the other day that i5 is being delayed, due to the eco crisis causing large stock piles of NB chips for LGA 775.
