System Specs

took the plunge...overclocked be-2400 to 2.58

the 2nd pc,
MSI K9A2GM-F V3 740G
AMD BE-2400
2x1 GB ddr2-800
Smartpower 400W

This processor looked a bit too weak at 2.3 ghz, so i decided for the 1st time to overclock; and just raised the fsb from 200 to 225; and put the ram x to 1:1.66(~700)
I did feel a difference; overclocking is cool too(might overclock my other pc)
Since this machine is just for basic stuff htpc,(no hard-gaming, no editing), and would like it to last another 2 - 4 years
do you think it's a nice overclock? should i activate cool-n-quiet?

you should be fine to get it close to 2.8 (or higher if your cpu plays nice) on stock voltage. It's really dependent on your board since you need to use FSB. those 65nm do pretty well, unfortunately you don't have an unlocked multiplier, then your oc'ability would be mobo independent.
