Disabled my second screen, no changes unfortunately

I have Windows Vista service pack 1 and DirectX 10. Checked today, there are no updates for either of them.

I'm thinking about formatting my computer and completely reinstalling windows. That way i can be sure it's not some mixed up driver issue.

System Specs

try this:

* uninstall ccc (fully)
*restart
*go to device manager and select your video and then select "uninstall drivers and software"
click refresh or F5. Uninstall drivers still it says VGA Apdater
*restart into safemode
*run drivercleaner ("ATI")
*restart normal
This will remove all drivers for sure!!!

good luck, hope it's just drivers and not the card

Finally! It is fixed

It was a driver problem after all. I followed erocker turorial to the letter and with CrackerJack's hints I found some obscure NVidia files from my previous card hanging around. (Obviously i should have used that tutorial right away, but i thought uninstalling nvidia drivers using the control panel would be enough... )

Thank you all very much for your time and expertise people!

Drinks are on me when you're in the neighboorhood!
