Different coolers. The Toxic is the same as the Atomic minus 40mhz (960) on the core. The Vapo-X looks like it has an aluminum Intel CPU puck cooler under the shroud and the core runs at 860mhz.

Fifty bucks for 40mhz? Nah. Plus I'm impatient, and I'll get 1ghz out of this core.

Hello, The toxic is $242 at ewiz. atomic is $299 at newegg, big difference.

Will the toxic overclock to 1100 core 1200+ memory like the atomic, if it does then i may pickup the toxic!

If the toxic would overclock like the atomic I would purchase the toxic NOW!
Can anyone help me out? The atomic overclocks to 1050/1200 stable. If the toxic has the head room build into catalyst I believe it will too. Any ideas

They basically just have higher clocks and some small tweaks to the GPU but nothing really different.

Since they came out yesterday I doubt anyone knows yet. I haven't seen a review.

I'm sure it can probablly be OC'd to Atomic speeds. Perhaps with a little more voltage a bit more. If anything you save a little money.

I think I might order the toxic, I still can't make up my mind. It's either one of these, or a cheap 4850 to use just until the 5000 series come out.

They've had them on the 4870's as well, this is just the first time they've been released on the 4890. I don't see any hype for them, I'm looking more at the GPU clocks of the Atomic and Toxic version.

didn't they used to come in that silver brief case they were really expensive people thought the bundle was cool but not many owned it. I have never seen a ATI card get this much hype.

Yes with the briefcases. http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/S..._Atomic/2.html

I really don't see the hype. What hype are you reffering to?
