Didn't look at the link, but if it's like my 9600GT Sonic was, then it's gotta unique PCB. But I bet it still has larger "steps" or increments between set MHz. Nothing special, just overclocking like anything else, increase, test with something like Furmark/heavy parts of a bench/heavy gaming. I usually start with a 300 second run in Furmark 1024x768 windowed stability. I'll say this, I've yet to see a GTX260 that couldn't hit my clocks rock solid at my OC's... 666/1436-1458 linked, 1200 memory. I've toyed with quite a few 260's and everyone was able to hit that OC without breaking a sweat, it's not insane because some cards come pre-oc'd around that on the gpu. Not much step by step, just increase till the clocks increase on the graph to the left, then test with furmark for about 5 minutes, increase again, till you see artifacts, back down, try in a game for a while.

It`s awesome! I set my card on:
![]() And now I can play `STALKER: Clear Sky` on max! Before that; game was lagging a bit. Is this safe to keep those settings? (I set fans at AUTO) I was using FurMark (Stability test 1680x1050 AAx8) about 2 mins and when temp reached 80C, screen goes black. Why? Should I decrease my settings? Edit: FurMark results (1680x1050 AAx8) (Minimum Fps/Average Fps/Max Fps) Before OC; 37/46/62 After OC; 38/52/70 Last edited by WojtasRed; May 30, 2009 at 07:51 AM. |

set the fan speed to around 80-100%. If the screen goes black and displays "display driver has stopped responding" drop down your OC especially the core clock and unlink the shader clock most cards can take the shader clock as high as 300MHz+ OC.

Is there any sense to OC your card if you gain 4 FPS extra?

yes, games like Crysis with a 4 FPS gain in OC is beneficial enough.
