Update

I am now hearing that this is part of a pilot program that is set to expire on September 30, 2009, which means it's more of a three month deal, but hey, free is free! Currently, the expiration date reads "1/1/1900" but Microsoft is working on fixing that.
Update 2

When attempting to get new keys or see old ones, users are now getting the following message: "There was an error error while trying to retrieve requsted key information and we cannot process your request." It's not clear if Microsoft is cutting people off or if the requests for keys simply became overwhelming for the servers (more likely). Of course, if you already got your keys, they should still work.

At the end of the day, they kind of have to re open this, we purchased it, despite it being for £0 / $0, so legally we have that service for 1 year, like stated on the receipt. Im complaining if it isnt open again my mid day tomorrow, as its a service I have 'paid' for.

Also, dont complain unless you used your real address, youll get no where.

I'm still able to generate keys and download Windows 7 from my Connect account, so, I suppose that something is wrong with TechNet.

Im hoping they have simply shut everything down to give the servers time to breathe / fix flooding issues.

If we knew somsone with a paid account we could ask them if they could DL and get keys... Then we would know if the servers are down or what..
