what kinda plug is this?

what is the name of this plug? found on top of battery at lower right hand side of motherboard. sorry is its kinda blurry. the orange ones

you could run a sata cable throught the case but you would need a molex plug on it

It's not for a USB external hard drive if that's what you are thinking.

external needs e-sata - differnent plug. You can get adapters that will plug into the sata port on the mobo and connect a 12v plug - if you have not independent power supply for the external device.

If you can power the drive theres no reason you cant run a long cable from that outside your case to it from these connectors.If the hdd is set up on ahci,you can even hot swap it too,and it will be much faster than usb.

You can get e-sata PCI slot adapters which will plug into those orage connectors and then provide you an esata port in back to be used with an external enclosure. Pick up an external enclosure which comes with a power brick/wall wart and then your problems are solved.
