Which gaming monitor?
Which monitor should I get to eliminate motion blur in my games? I'm looking something with 1920x1080 or 1920x1200 resolution and as large as possible.

motion blur?
havent seen that on an LCD in years. just grab the biggest, shiniest you can find. VA or IPS panel if possible, if not, get one of the new TN films with the really high conrast ratios like mine - they're newer tech, so they've very VERY closet in quality to the other panel types.

Have you tried the Dell ultrasharp 30inch? I do know dell makes quality LCD's. But expensive.

To everyone talking about 2ms response times... PLEASE learn up on this stuff. Grey to grey response times mean NOTHING. A screen can say 2ms G2G, and have 16ms Grey to red. You simply CANNOT judge a monitor based on the response time they advertise.

Inexpensive and if you move a bit from a straight line you will experience color and image corruption.

the latest ones with samsung panels arent as bad. 170 degree viewing angles instead of 160.

i say this one
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16824236049 its 1080P, the other is 1200. I prefer 1080, because then you can at least use the HDMI port for something else, like a console or set top HDTV box/bluray drive black bars annoy the hell out of me with movies, and i know for a fact consumer devices only do 720p or 1080P over HDMI, they wont be aware of custom resolutions in the 16:10 aspect ratio.

TN Panels are a lot better than they once were.
I think Samsung makes the best TN Panels. you should look on TFTCentral they have a database sometimes manufactures like Dell, Iiyama, etc will use a Samsung panel in their monitors even Samsung has been guilty of using AU Optronics or Chi Mei panels so just because Samsung manufactures monitors doesn't mean they use their own in house panels so you may be able to find a bargain like another brand or no name that has one. however if you really want your cake and ice cream look for a 24" CRT on your local classifieds or eBay you can find used ones under a $100 or refurbished/brand new ones for $100-400 the monitor I posted above is mine it's a Dell Ultrascan P992 19" CRT that does 1920x1200 at 75Hz however a 24" will do better got it "used" for $30 and it still had that new monitor smell, my Samsung 226BW 22" LCD cradles in fear when it comes to the quality of movies and games my Dell Ultrascan P992 19" CRT puts out. I suggest a Sony, Dell or Mitsubishi (NEC). any argument about CRT monitors has a rebuttal 1) LCD monitors are not up to CRT standards yet 2) professional gamers, graphics artist and CAD users still use CRT monitors and 3) if gamers really cared about saving energy they wouldn't be using 1400 Watt Power supplies. i'm actually thinking of treating my self and buying the Sony GDM-FW900 24" (SGI and HP have re-branded versions of this model) flat screen, 16:10, max resolution 2304x1440, great refresh rates and a usb hub. here are some pictures just look at that quality it still doesn't do it justice because CRT look terrible on cameras so it's actually brighter and more vibrant in person. that whole 250 page thread is dedicated to people who own, purchasing or worship that monitor like their dutch mother even to this very day
